M.U.S.T. Presents: Low Impact Living (free seminar)

In connection with our Sustainability September events happening at Murdoch University we are pleased to announce a FREE talk by Steph @Consciousfish on plastic, waste and consumerism.

Join us at Murdoch University South St Campus building 450 room 4.001 from 1.30pm.

About the talk:
This introductory talk will highlight the issues of a current environmental and social crisis: plastic and waste pollution. We will explore the issues with plastic and waste pollution and encourage critical thinking of our current habits. With a focus on single-use disposable items, we will highlight some simple solutions and practical alternatives that are easy to adopt whilst on a tight student budget.

About Steph @Consciousfish:
I am a marine biologist who came across the Plastic Free July Challenge in 2013 whilst working at the aquarium in Melbourne. This challenge was a slap in the face regarding our unhealthy relationship with plastics. I have since embarked on a personal journey to reduce my plastic consumption & waste that I produce and work closely with other individuals and business to help change our habits and find suitable alternatives for a sustainable future.
